They've been perrenial runners-up, Greeny. This year they ended up 7th and got stuffed 0-6 in the Challenge Cup final. The (nearly) mighty have fallen

2010-11

17 players in (8 promising young players) for a total of £450k
12 players out for a total of £2.8m including that D/AM L from last season to Barcelona  for £1.3m

CL: unseeded again. Hardest possible draw v Red Star Belgrade. they battered me in the first leg at my place, but managed a 0-0. Scored in the 6th min away, then held out for a 1-1 draw after 1 79th min equaliser - through on away goals.

R2: SK Tirana of Albania. Won 4-2 away and 4-1 home, through 8-3 on agg.

R3: Celtic. Lost 3-0 away in the 1st leg, 0-0 at home, out 3-0 on agg.

UEFA R1: drew G. Antepspor of Turkey. Drew 1-1 at home, then was 2-1 up with 20 mins to go in the 2nd leg. Threw it away, losing 3-2, out 4-3 on agg

Welsh Cup: out in the 4th round, beaten by non-league Gwynfi (who? ) 2-1. Non-league Ton Pentre won the cup, and a UEFA cup place. :o

Premier Cup: beaten by Cardiff again, this time in the final, 2-0

Challenge Cup: beat Bangor again, 2-0.

WPL: won by 27 points, from Llanelli. Bangor were 5th. Record: p34 25-8-1 pts83

I can't believe this thread is holding my attention. 6 seasons of domination at home, and mediocrity on the big stage. Are you getting bored? I hope not, I'm keen to see if you can take out the WPL in 2025/2026

What season are you up to? </BLOCKQUOTE>

Coming up to mid-season 2007/08.

Made it as far as the third qualifying round in 2005/06, only to be dumped out 10-1 on aggregate by Leverkusen.

2011-12

6 players in for a total of £475k

9 players out for a total of £2m, including a NI promising AML who cost £7k, made 6 appearances and was sold for £800k

With the extra money I had, the board agreed to my request for a stadium expansion, increasing my capacity from 2,000 to 3,000.

CL: unseeded again.

R1: drew Pobeda of Macedonia for the 2nd time in 3 years. Lost 2-1 away, but sneaked through 2-0 at home, to go through 3-2 on agg.

R2: drew Ferencvaros of Hungary. Won 2-0 at home, but was 3-0 down at half time in the 2nd leg. A 64th min goal put me ahead on away goals, and a 90th min goal sealed it.

R3: not a bad draw v Dinamo Kiev. Took the lead away, but conceded two goals in the last three minutes to lose 2-1 Dominated the 2nd leg, but lost 1-0, out 3-1 on agg.

UEFA R1: drew VFB Stuttgart. Was 3-0 down after 32 mins in the away leg, when my left winger was sent off. Ended up losing 6-0. Drew the home leg 0-0, went out 6-0 on agg.

Challenge Cup: went out to Rhyl in the 1st round on away goals.

Premier Cup: lost to non-league Ton Pentre on penalties in the Q-Finals

Welsh Cup: beat Connah's Quay 4-2 in the Final.

WPL: won by 20pts from Connah's Quay. Bangor still languishing in mid-table, in 7th. Record: p34 26-7-1 pts85
