2009-10
9 players in for a total of £110k including a Northern Irish D/AM L promising winger who cost £85k from Loughgall.
13 sold for a total of £1.6m. My scouts were now managing to find plenty of promising youngsters, particularly in Ireland and I was able to sell them on for a tidy profit. A homegrown DM went to Kilmarnock for £400k, but my best bit of business was signing a promising DR from Dundalk for £65k, then selling him to Tottenham 2 weeks later for £675k and a sell on percentage
CL:
unseeded. drew Pobeda of Macedonia in the 1st round. drew 1-1, then hammered them 4-0 at home. At last, in the 2nd round again!
2nd qual round: drew Wisla of Poland. Got hammered in the away leg, but somehow managed to nick an injury time winner for a 1-0 win! In the home leg, they dominated the 1st half and missed a penalty, then unbelievably I scored 3 times in the 2nd half to go through 4-0
3rd qual round: drew Club Brugge of Belgium which was probably the best I could hope for- my star striker who nicked the winner in the 1st leg against Wisla scored a fantastic hat-trick in a 3-1 win. I was 2-0 down at half time in the 2nd leg, heading out on away goals, then I scored in the 55th min. I almost held out, but the tables were turned as they scored an injury time goal.

Extra time - no goals. Penalties! I missed my 1st, they missed the 4th, so it was down to the final two. They scored....I missed

So close! But, still a chance in the UEFA cup.
UEFA cup: drawn against Newcastle

Premier Cup: lost on penalties (again

) to Cardiff in the semis
