2026 World Cup in... Canada

lost to Turkey 2-4
lost to Chile 0-3
beat Japan 4-1

Finished 3rd in Group A

My ex-TNS ex-wonderkid did manage to get the golden boot though, with 4 goals, 3 of them against Japan.

Scotland also went out in the 1st round.
Ireland lost to Germany in the 2nd round.
England lost to France in the Semis

Chile won the WC, beating France 2-0 in the final, so at least I lost to the holders and the eventual winners.

What makes you think that this won't be the situation by 2022 and 2026 anyway? Is it really that unlikely?
