To add on what the others have said, I must add a further reason.

I come from a small nation used to being battered left and right. Pillaged from it's wealth and robbed by ambitious nobles (or businessmen if you want) who didn't neither speak our language nor live in our country.

Yet, even with our language forbidden, laws passed against us and heavy restrictions laid upon commerce and business we managed to reemerge and become once more the leading force in that confederation of Nations that Spain came to be... until the next absolutist ruler (or dictator if you want) came and laid further restrictions ... ad infinitum.

It's no wonder that I'm left oriented when it comes to politics and it's so normal that I enjoy taking a cash stripped and barren talent team and try and work my way up with them. After all, it's in my nature

Aye, my fondness for LLM is directly related to Cromwellian puritanism.

To be fair, there's only me and Muss on the other side! Bring back the LLaMa Political Compass.

Personally, its not the 'realism' that has got me playing this way, but simply the challenge. Having played FM (CM in teh old days) since it came out, its rather easy without putting your own restrictions in.

As for politics, left and right bias and all the rest of it is not needed, just line em all up, regardless of which side they are on and shoot them all. I am not racist, sexist or any other 'ist' i just hate everyone, it makes life easier that way.

Uhm. You seem to be confused. There are no restrictions, and restricting ourselves is not our intention at all. We are striving for more realism, and if it makes the game harder, so be it, but that's only a side effect.

You, Muss, plus Guinness and Dr. Hook, by their admissions here. Maybe we should get Jon to dust off the compass. If I've changed as much as it did last time we did it, I'm off the graph now

The Political Compass.

As ever, I'm in bed with Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama (LLaMa?) and Tony Benn.

It's a double king-sized bed
