So, I started a new 06 save. I was going to go to Poland but I loaded too many leagues and it was going too slow. So, I ended up in Mexico.

Took charge of Coyotes in the second division. Decent squad, signed a few ex-Mexican internationals on frees, looking good.

Time to assign squad numbers - now at the start of the game I always assign the first 16 numbers and leave the rest til they play (don't ask why ), so that's what I did.

First game of the season, what happened? All my players without squad numbers were ineligible

so, I effecively had a 16-man squad. I won't be continuing this save.

That's more than a little bit odd.

I also tend to avoid assigning all my squad numbers straight away and I've never had anything like that pop up.

I also avoid assigning numbers past the starting 11 and substitutes in the first team squad.
