What's the point to all of these newbie update posts anyway? It's as if people feel some sort of compulsion to run out and post a topic about their exploits, as soon as they have anything to report.

If people feel the need to announce to the world that they've finally gotten around to managing a lower league club, then they should start a blog. They can post all they want, name players, provide tips, and brag. SI should provide a free blogging service to funnel these sorts of posts away from the forums. We could still do updates in the LLM forum, but maybe some of the newbie posts will conveniently disappear.
