Currently struggling through my Cowdenbeath game, and a small irritant is the return of the superkeeper in 6.0.3.
It could be me being paranoid. It could be nothing at all.
It could also be that whenever I play a team off the park comprehensively, I lose 1-0 and their keeper gets a 9. If he makes a few saves in the first 10 minutes you know the script.
Now I don't dominate many games, but when I play Dukla Pumpherston or equivalent in the first round of the cup, you'd expect me to score one or two.
I cannot say I have noticed a prevelance for the superkeepers to appear. In my 11 sesason career, I can only remember one occasion when I noticed a superkeeper on the oppsing team. I had, something like, 37 shots, 27 on target and lost 1-0 to their only shot on goal. The highlights were constant with my team trying everything to get a goal. Good luck to them, they rode their luck and beat us.
I must admit though, I was fuming at the time.
One game in 11 seasons is not what I call a problem.
I've played in games where the opposition keeper has won the game for them and in games where our keeper has won the game for us. All in all it's probably about even over the past 8 seasons.
Can't say I've noticed it to be prevalent, but I did run across a superkeeper in the clan game on Sunday MoM, made a dozen world class saves and we drew 1-1 despite having twice as many shots with a much greater percentage on target than the opposition. As I say though, it's been isolated incidents for me.
Superkeepers don't exist. Keepers can have a day when they stop every shot, that happens IRL as well.
When you beat a team 1-0 and got outshot 1-16 were your GK picked up the MoM award you don't complain do you?
