As I said, I've not tried it, so I don't know for sure. As I understand it, theres a risk that the number of regens of each nation will be skewed by the retention nations, thus resulting in more regens from those countries than should be the case.

From what I've heard that is right jcb and your active leagues get flooded with players from the retained nations.

I myself use the add player option regularly, in order to make the game realistic. I found out that when playing on a huge database in a country other than England (for example Austria), you will end up with a huge amount of English players in Austria after a couple of seasons, which is absolutely unrealistic. Almost all foreigners in Austrian football come from Eastern European countries. For this reason, when playing in Austria, I add players from Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovakia the Czech Rep and Poland. That way the amount of foreigners coming from these countries stays rather consistent throughout the league.

hehe I survived, count on that. What I find interesting is that this randomness of play actually raised some questions on how to play the game LLM-wise. It seems not all have the same view on it.

LLM doesn't have rules Mikael. There are a set of guidelines that point towards realism, that is essentially what LLM is all about.

Yep, no rules...just guidelines.
LLM's meant to be as realistic as the game allows. You generally find when guys say that lists are available, that EPL Clubs contact lower league teams to offer players on loan and such stuff that it's actually a way to make the game easier instead of more realistic, and that's not what LLM's about.
You'll often see threads "Who's the biggest challenge?" (just before the poster has a new arse torn) and the reply "All LL Teams are a challenge if they're played in the LLM spirit."
What the guy's usually saying is that he wants to start with a team in the Conference, use WaNkAnO's tactic, pile money on the Team, use FM Scout and then brag that he's won the Champions' Cup with Frickley.
LLM's hard, make no mistake. It's just not for some people, and they look for a way to look great by taking Frickley to European success, they have no desire to play LLM with Frickley, it takes a lot of time and effort and some guys just don't want that.
LLM's for some, it's not for others. Look for a way to make it easier, and they're shown the door.
We're cliquey

Well put Ian, put I think ppl should consider that not all suggestions to the LLM-way is about making it easier. It is a matter of making it different, more challenging or perhaps harder.
I must admit that my new game does bring me new experiences to the way the game can be played. Not all are great.. I do miss my transferlist But all in all I think its working out good.
@StanLaurel.. Perhaps not rules, but it sure feels like some ppl think it is rules.
