Well gutted is perhaps the wrong word. I can see where i went wrong and apologise for that, but it did feel I had something good going and some comments didnt feel that nice.

I usually go about new forums carefully because I know most ppl are a tightly-known bunch, but I think I might have been a bit too fast here :-) Hopefully my new LLM-challenge will give way for some better comments in the future

I always use random.org to select my leagues and teams.

51 leagues, 51 numbers in the random generator, I go to the country it throws up.

Like jordi, I then choose other leagues associated with it.

For example, my new save sent me to Serbia & Montenegro. So I loaded Croatia and Slovenia as well.

Then I pick a random team using random.org from all the LLM teams of the leagues I've chosen.

Interesting to hear the point about the 'loading players' - in this game for example I have added players from Macedonia and Bosnia (so basically the whole of the former Yugoslavia is included) - I don't really see the point that this isn't LLM?

All the clubs in the game will have the chance to sign the players from Macedonia and Bosnia, not just me.

Some consider it a risk of unbalancing the game, Phil, which would be contrary to the realism ethos. It could be considered a little unrealistic if you added some minor country and 10 years down the road half the world's top clubs have squads full of said minor nationality players.

I've not tried it myself, so I have little-to-no opinion on whether it really unbalances things significantly or not.

If you add players from extra leagues, does that mean you get more regens/newgens from those leagues than you would do usually?

I suppose I always thought it just added all the current players, then continued along normally.

Therefore, you wouldn't get the situation you describe unless the said leagues had a load of super players to begin with.
