So as I understand, the whole part of adding extra players is a big no no. What about the number of leagues then? Do you add the whole league in which you play and 1-2-3-4-5-? other leagues or what? As I see it, the random part whould fit in great here, because it gives you new leagues everytime.

It depesnds largely on the strengths of people's machines as to how many leagues the choose to load. Personally I naver load more than the country that I am managing as the game would run too slowly othrewise.

Other than that I agree with Church. :thup:

Mine too. Anyone thinking Frank 07 will have added randomness is wrong.

Mikael, as you'll probably have discovered by now when reading the stickies and the guidelines we mainly aim for realism here (as much as the game allows us at least).

Adding different leagues sure spices a career, but I'd never do that at the cost of realism. I'll elaborate a bit:

If Frank tells me to start in the Chilean lowest division, I'd go for a selection of South American leagues and probably some European leagues in which I'd think that have relation to the Southamerican leagues loaded.

Thus, I'd probably have: Chile (starting point), Perú, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain and Italy (later countries being my target countries if I have a successful enough career).

Why do I choose those countries and not Chile, India, South Africa, Russia and Australia? Mainly because there's no historical links between those countries (ok, you might find some, but they would be quite far fetched). There's another reason to do so: Because the countries you load determine to a great extend what players the AI will sign, and Frankly I don't a Russian playing in Chile would be quite realistic.

@ELLfan.. it helps alot! :thup: I've never known why ppl choose the leagues they do and I can surely see you point in selecting leagues that has relation to the selected country.

It could be a SLOB-kinda thing. Select Leagues on Borders..

I can see how my randomplay goes in the wrong direction of how this works. Guess I havent thought it through

I dont think this is that unrealistic. Just look at some russian teams. They have loads of brazilians playing. But I do see your point.

It works well other way around. You would find a lot of players from places without connections with the country. Heck, you would even find two Brasilians in Slovenian 1st division, but that is it. You won't find more than two or three. All other players are form countries we were related to in ex-Yugoslavia. All others are as rare as a green leaf on autoumn day.
