It's a bit of a myth surrounding Gretna and the money that they have spent. They have signed decent,ageing players on free transfers, some of whom have even taken a wage cut. The recent cup semi final appearance also featured players who have came through the ranks.
Fair play to them though, I wish my club had a passionate chairman who put his money where his mouth is.
I think it would be amazing if they sneek into Europe through the back door via the Scottish cup.

No it's not !
I'm on about the Albany Northern League, as it's known at the moment. Clubs that play in this league include Bedlington Terriers, Ashington and Whitley Bay. And it is the oldest league competition in the world.
