I think Frank has taken to the booze. Having had it too easy in the lower league games I've played so far, I thought I'd give it a go in somewhere obscure. I picked China and went to Frank for a team. He picked Tibet Hiutong.

Great I thought, you can't get much more obscure than that. So I loaded up a new game, went to select Tibet and lo and behold they are not there! I pick another team to get into the game and do a search for Tibet. It turns out that they are a non-league team.

I went back to Frank to check out his other picks, some are correct but I have come across a couple more that are non-league.

Whatever Franks drinking, I'll have the same ta.

I don't mean to state the obvious but you are using the correct version of Frank for your game?

It's no big deal, just thought I'd point it out. Shame though, I quite fancied the idea of managing a team from Tibet.

Dissapointed. I was hoping this thread would be about drunk managing.

Strange. I just loaded a game of FM 2006 up, and picked China only. There they were, Tibet Huitong, under Huitong.

My start date was the default of January 2006 - they may be one of the promoted sides that's not there in January 2005.

That's all I can think...

Yoa are right that's the explanation. I did not realise there were two potential start dates for China and I chose January 2005.

Makes me wonder if there are any other leagues that have more than one start date.

Just loaded up a new game and there are quite a few countries that have two alternative start dates:

Belarus
Brazil
Chile
Columbia
Finland
Iceland
Ireland
Malaysia
Norway
Peru
Russia
Singapore
South Korea
Sweden

Was this done in the last patch as most of the later start dates are in 2006?

I guess this gives us more possible teams to play as.

Must check the promtotions and releagations on soccerway.com when I get the chance.
