...why, after slogging my guts out on this godforesaken game for five and a half seasons and getting to the heady heights of League 2 from Conf South, I suddenly get sacked for the fine excuse of "not having a good enough relationship with my staff"
This is really annoying considering things were just starting to come into place and was near the top of league two, I had plenty of money in the bank and making a steady profit, all my players and staff liked me - it just didnt make sense.
Has this happened to anyone else??
Just when I was gonna have a crack at my first thread as well, at least youve all been spared of that.
LOL Have a read of my Basingstoke thread. After 19 years in charge. And winning the premiership 4 times they sack me for the same reason. Just happend me last night and I'm still in shock over it.
Its the first time I can recall being sacked and I just dont know what to do with myself. I wouldnt mind but after a couple of average mid-table seasons I was the best thing since sliced bread now I get a couple of promotions and Im out on my ear.
I wonder if I was caught slinging it up the chairmans wife and the staff I dont get on with is him. I hope so.
Thing is now although I seem to be linked with every job below Premier Im not getting offered anything, but they arent giving anyone else the job either. Ive applied for 6 jobs and in three months none of them have yet been filled.
Just for the record I started at Workington and moved to Sutton United from where I got sacked.
It was also made worse by the fact Id just gone to Hudds in Championship in the FA cup and beat them to get into the 4th round in what I thought was our best performance Id seen. 2 days later - out. Cups truely do suck arse!!
