I also was sacked once for poor relations with the staff, and it definitely was the players who were angry at me for fining some extravagant bitch 2 weeks wages every week for a month.

It's so unfair.... I kneecapped a player (ending his career) for getting caugh offside. Some of the players though I was being heavy handed

This is why I've requested that FM 2007 add a feature to allow the manager to criticise a player publicly for being unsettled over an otherwise completely reasonable fine or warning. In cases where the player is clearly out of his mind and not grasping the gravity of the offence, then the manager should be able to announce it publicly and perhaps shame him into having a better attitude.

I actually fired up FM05 to see why I was fired, it seems that in a game against Aston Villa we were down to 9 men after 30 minutes. We ended up winning 4-1 but I still fined the buggers to make a point, the next day I was collecting my p45.

I have a theory about this, did you save the game after applying for a job?

I did this with Norwich a seasion ago, they have not replied to my application, have not appointed a manger and I cannnot apply for the vacant job.

No I never applied for any jobs, its a strange one!

I believe the physio may have been involved in some kind of spit roast arrangement.

Incidentally almost a year on and I havnt had a job offer yet and every job Ive applied for hasnt appointed anyone yet even though in some cases I was touted as favourite, so there about 10 clubs who havnt had a manager for months. Most frustrating - looks like Ill have to start a new game as I dont quite get the satisfaction from continually clicking continue as i would normally.

Better make sure I have a chairman with no or a moose wife.
