I can understand that you would be annoyed with that situation but as Ian has already hinted at, the very same appeared to happen at Hearts earlier this season when they were top of the league.

It seems a bit too regular from the posts in this thread and on that basis is most likely to be a bug.

Are we sure that the game means backroom staff and not players?

Also, maybe you were using tactics that didn't match your staff's abilities, and maybe you weren't using your stuff enough. Maybe you weren't getting team reports, asking for physio reports, sending your scouts around, and that sort of thing.

I got sacked in an FM 2005 game after leading Bradford City (started out at Redbridge) to back-to-back Premiership titles for the same reason. I suspect this was partly down to my strict fines policy for red cards ect.

Wasn't very happy, but I just carried on with the save and ended up having a great tie in the conference with Crewe, despite an offer from Real Madrid

Greg, should it really matter what tactics Im using as long as Im winning games? If i can only pick tactics that my coaches like whats the point one of them may as well pick the team.

I obviously sent my scouts out regularly (was that a trick to see if Im a real LLM) and get team reports. Didnt ask for physio reports but if a manager can get sacked for his relationship with his physio Im more naive than I thought.

Im sticking with the story that I piped the chairmans trophy wife.

Still no job offer by the way despite none of the clubs I applied for hiring anyone its now been 5 months!!!!

After reading through this again, I'm convinced that "staff" means your players and not your coaches. Have you issued fines and warnings regularly, and have you frequently criticised players in the media? I think that's going to be the ultimate cause, because I have seen many other people complaing about sackings despite good form, and it was usually because they were too harsh with the playing staff.
