Default Managing in Northern Ireland

Started a new save yesterday as Annagh in Northern Ireland. Good fun so far, but the finances seem impossible to handle. Granted I'm a little bit over the limit on wages, but even if they all played for free we'd be far in the red. Most players aren't worth a thing either, so can't exactly make a bundle there. At least it will be interesting to see how long we can leak before I get fired.

Anyway, anybody got any info on this club? Can't even find anything decent on google! :o
Have they been above NIR 2nd? How long have they been in NIR 2nd? Anything special about them?

Fantastically stupid to start a new save now as I have exams in three weeks, but hadn't touched FM for a good while, and were bored shitless yesterday. Will bring an update I suppose, after 3 seasons.

Cool to see others manage there too. Can't get much lower than that I reckon. Not many players that would cut it in Conf N/S, not even in the top division from the little I've seen. But I was more interesting in RL info on the club, as I can't seem to find anything on the net. Their history is blank so I reckon 2nd Div is the highest, but would be nice to know if they just got up, or if they've been there for decades.

Looks like I will get promoted, but the finances are crap. About 100K in the red now. For some strange reason they are "satisfied" with the club's finances though

Try this link (the link might not work properly but the address is there). I think you're right, there doesn't seem to be much to know With a bit of persistence you should find something, it took me ages to find out what PSNI even stood for when I managed them.

Thanks for the link, but it's basically what I found on wikipedia.

Incredible that it's this hard to find info on a club, and even more shocking that I can't find info on the league history. The closest I got was this At least this year's table, but no history

Found the name for PSNI at least

Why don't you look them up in the phonebook, give them a call and ask them?

They might even send you a free supporters (ah, I mean ...training) t-shirt.

Instead of starting a new thread I'll put it here...

Just got a message that because of good performance in Group 2 the board bumped up my transfer budget by 26K, which is a mountain in Norther Ireland. The thing is that "Group 2" is the Reserve league. The lads are doing great there, but strange to focus on the reserves. They must be mad anyway. We're 150K in the red, and they wanna give me money to spend! Thanks, but wish somebody would join this pothole called Annagh...

You seen this happen before?

Weird. You'd have thought most boards would take money out of your budget on the grounds that your reserves must be pretty decent and a couple could make the step up.

If most of them weren't greys, yes

Never seen this before. Great to see the game can still throw out surprises.
