Hi i'm new to the forum but do tend to have at least 1 LLM save going on all FM's i have.
Anyway.
My team : Gainsbrough Trinity
Leaguse : Blue Square North
Transfer budget : £0
Wage budget £3000
Expectations : Avoid relagation (i promised a mid-table position hoping to get a better wage & transfer budget ..... it failed)
Season 07/08
Looking over the team it's going to be a hard 1st season, tohugh the team is semi-pro i did try to sign most of the players to full time contrats on the same money to maxamise there training, this was succesful for the most part which will help for the upcoming season, i managed to sell of 4 players getting me a total of £2k, i signed 5 players all free transfers paying out £150 less a week, i was annoyed that i lost out on the 2 players i really wanted to BSS teams.
i lost my 1st 3 frirndlys, got a draw in the 4th and won the rest.
The start of the season put me against the 2 teams predited to be challenging to win the league and 2 who were to be battleing for promation, my team though gave a good account of themselves loseing the 1st 2 games by just one goal both coming in the last minutes of the game and then managing to steal a draw in the 3rd after going 3-0 down by half time, lost the 4th, then i had a less difficult league fixtures to look forward too, and getting a 8 game unbeaten run of 5 wins and 3 draws, i got through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd round of the FA Trophy exceeding the boards expections in the compertion i was knocked out in the 2nd qualifying round of the F.A Cup. by christmas i was in a healthy position 16 points clear of relagtion but, lost evert game over the christams and new year period total of 7 games lost in a row over the next 5 games i got 2 points pulling me close to the reagation dog fight, i could blame injurys and being unable to buy or sell anyone in the transfer window but i could of tried different tactics, but i again came up with a 3 game winning straek in 7 games i took 11 points to pull me back to safty, i do have to say i did get lucky with on of the ramdomly created player (a fred) who was pritty good, in the last 4 games i was safe from relagation and roughly where i thourght i could get to, so i played some of my youngsters i still had, and found 2 definates for full contracts.
I was offered a new contract (2 year) which i took, still with no money though over the season i had gained just over £50000 for the club.
Season 08/09
In the posr / pre season i managed to signed anyone on part time contracts to full time ones or got rid.
Total players out : 12 (including 7 youth players)
Total player in: 5
Pre season results were really good lost only 1 which i had no chance of winning.
media predicted me to finish mid-table.
the start of the season couldn't have gone better 10 games in i was undefeted won 8 drew 2, top of the league, the 2 youngsters i brought into the 1st team have done really well a few clubs are interested in some of my players for the 1st time.
F.A Trophy i got to the 5th round much further than the boards expectaions of (2nd round) making a few quid for the club.
F.A Cup i got to the 1st round proper and got well beaten 6-1 by league 2 Shrewsbury
then i couldn't buy a win till christmas winning just 1 i only lost 6 and drew the rest, leaving me just insided the top half of the table, Christmas and new year gamess went better this time around buy the end i was closer to the promotion race than mid-table obsecuity. I signed 1 player in the transfer window and ditching 4 (2 younth players who wern't good enough) after new year was over i went 14 games unbeated tohugh only winning 5 but they were againts the teams above and around me but then lost 3-1 to the team at the foot of the league who hadn't won all season.
went 6 games getting only 1 point, just missed out on the chance of promotion but finished high in the top-half far exceding the boards expectations again (wich was a real shock as the team is nowhere near as good as teams below me) and i was being linked with the Barnet job as they had been relagated to the BSP.
Season 09/10
I decides to stay with Gainsbrough see if i can get them promoted,
this season i was given £8k to spend.
Total player out : 14 (3 retired, 8 youngsters, 3 sold)
Total players in : 7 total cost £5k
pre season games went well lost 2 drew 1 won the rest.
won my first 2 league game but then went 18 with out a win, 6 games in a row were with out a goal, i lost 12 games drawing 6, having only 12 then after the Christams and New Year games i had only 18 points.

i didn't sign anyone in the January transfer window but got rid of 3 (2 youth players). My board wanted a top-half finish, looking at the league i'll be lucky to get mid-table, thought i did go 9 games unbeaten but 5 of the games were 0-0 draws, it did though pull me out of the relagation positions, the rest of the season was spent winning a game loseing a gamw drawing a game loseing a game winning this went on for the rset of the season with me finishing near the top of the mid-table, the board wern't overjoyed but as i'd done so well in the past they offered me a new (1year) contract.
In 3 years i made the culb £110k but only saw £10k of it for new players - 8£ in the 3rd season and £2k in the 3rd.
I'm jsut 8 games into season 10/11 having sold/got rid of 5 players i've brought 4 in and am currently in 5th place i've won 5 drawn 2 and lost 1, there are 2 teams who have won all 8 of there games.
Don't mention formations, don't bring games that are mentioned in GPTG in here, be warned that if you frequent these fora then you'll never be trusted in here.
LLM isn't just playing a lower league team, it's a whole lot more than that and can't be switched on and off like a lightbulb.
