In the first 3 season Atletico Madrid won the league twice, and I managed Barcelona in the first 2 seasons (lost first one due to direct clash with Atletico after finishing same points, and runaway the second)

When I looked at the spanish league at the end of my english campaign I was in shock the Real came 4th and Barcelona came 5th.

Oh and Milan a **** poor team? They are not good in the serie A I will give you that, but they convincingly knocked out Man Utd from the CL last season, and Liverpool were beaten by them.

Add to that, the season before they played and lost to Barca, who were the best team in Europe at the time, and they lost 1-0 over 2 legs, and had a goal wrongly ruled out in the 2nd leg which would have levelled the tie.

And before that, the dominated Liverpool in the final for the entire game apart from a 10 minute spell of madness.

On their day they are one of the best, but the team does need a new manager soon and a radical overhaul before they will win the Italian league again.

Barcelona at the moment are poor, nothing short of terrible some times. I think it was Villarael that give them a football lesson last time. As for La Liga being better than the Premier League, I would agree with that, mainly because of English clubs under achivemnt in europe. The English League is far more physcial, and teams get bogged down with a large fixture list (this fatigue caused Man Utd and Boro's demise at the latter stages). At the moment Man Utd and Arsenal are playing the best (and most consistance) football in the world, Arsenal for their possesion game and Man Utd for their counter attacking one. That could well change, but Barcelona at the moment are garbage.

The standard of football I think is better in spain. The English league is far too over rated imo. If they attract the best players, surely they have the best league? I'd say PL is probably number one with Spain just behind and then Italy a bit behind but still the third best league in the world.

by the way why do manager performance dip after a few years...like ancelotti now...Sacchi created the best milan team but got sacked a while later...benitez won the cl with liverpool but doesn't look that good now...

no i wouldnt say barcelona are excellent in my everton game i think they owon the league first time round but only got to qf, then i drew them and munich and mouscron (what a baptism of fire in to champ lge) and first game up went to thiers and came home with a one nil win - to be fair spent last half hour camped in my own penalty box but the end stats showed them having marginally fewer shots that me, then in 2nd game munich took them aprt in germany winning 3-zip. not to brag but i then beat munich and now looking pretty on 9 out of 9 from first 3 games in a group i thought 3rd wpuld be a good placing
