in the knowledge there's no chance of a refund, the game has been tossed into the bin.

Perhaps SI Games ought to consider for next year whether they want to sell a game that will appeal to all, as opposed to just students and those that don't work and have time to devote to analysing every minute tiny detail.

11-0 at home to a team in the same division. I ask you.

You're funny. I'm sure you could have donated that game to some poor kid in Brazil.

I am also slightly embarrassed by this half time score.

This is my 20th game of the season as Bayern, going the previous 19 unbeaten in all competitions with only 3 draws. I know away at the league champions would be a tough game but I'm absolutely stunned at the score.

There is no game on the planet that appeals to all. For the past 15 years Football manager has been the most detailed and time consuming management sim available, and you would have known that when you bought it. If it's not to your taste, there are a hell of a lot of more pick-up-and-play manager games out there. Try LMA Manager, it's actually a decent game unless you want detail.

I have literally no idea how you managed to lose 11-0, the worst result I've ever had (in all FMs) is 7-2 when I was in League two and playing Tottenham away (League Cup) on 07. Your obviously doing something very wrong, undo all your changes and go with the deafult 4-4-2 tactic, and play everyone in the correct position (par example:don't play full backs at centre back unless they can head the ball).

Jimmy: You got punked, I've noticed this stuff can happen for and against my team/s. I'm getting pretty good at predicting when and against who it will happen now:1) won 7 out of 10, unbeaten in 13, playing a team just above the relegation zone who are underperforming? Lose by 4+ goals.
2)Winless in 3, 5th in the table, playing 4th place who are overachieving? Win by 4+ goals.

Not 100% but I can see a potential rout when I look at a fixture in the context of an actual season.

Er, no it isn't. I was playing 442 and all positions were filled with players of those positions.

I'd also like to pint out that the 2 most flamboyant and successful teams in English football right now are Arsenal and Man Utd, and they play often a short passing style but at a very high tempo. I've often watched Forest play a short passing style, but at a very slow tempo. I've also seen long ball with a slow tempo. So this ******** about 'style and tempo are linked' is quite frankly f***ing nonsense.

Perhaps YOU must really suck at working for a living or having a girlfriend, as you have endless spare hours to analyse every detail and stat produced by the games so-called 'engine'.

same problem mate. Playing as Huddersfield Town lost 10 games, drawn 3. Its bloody frustrating because i'm playing with same proven tactics i applied on 07. Now im taking advice off these forums and even these tactics arent bloody working!!

I have a job and a life too and got Brighton to the premiereship. I stayed with them for several seasons and enjoyed it very much. Now I'm working on getting Arsenal their glory back as the team has really gone downhill the past seasons. I don't know what you are doing wrong but it has to be something that isn't working out with your team.
