Usually you find the next ronaldo or someone else who never quite lives up to expectations. however found the next Franz Beckenbauer which I personally thought is amazin also he plays class as well. He is called marko marin and plays for gladbach.

Also thought the next platini which isnt as good as the kaizer but still good, plays for spurs called adel taarabt. Anyone else found the next good someone?

Daniel Sturridge at Man City was touted as the next Gary Linekar in 07, not sure about 08 i havent checked.

Just because a player is touted as the next somebody doesn't mean they will become as good as that player. It just means that they show playing characteristics which are similar to the player they are touted as the next.
