Amen to that, I lost 2-1 to Chelski in the quarters as Peterborough and my board was all up in arms, in r/l that wouldnt happen.

Could be that apart from Arsenal, no english team has a decent youth team.

my frankfurt side was expected to reach the third qualifying round of the champion's league, despite my league finish the previous season sending me straight into the group stage. that's like telling a premiership side that they have to reach at least the second round of the fa cup.

if the board confidence system can't even give you targets that take into account the basic rules of a competition, it's hardly likely that they'll be able to set realistic goals at all. it needs a lot of work, because at the moment it's awful.

Ronaldo use to be a cheat.
Fixed. I hate Ronaldo and Man Utd but he's changed for the better.

I don't think this is bad but i think it could be worded better for this situation. Something along the lines of them saying they are dissapointed that you put your trust in them and they let you down. Or they are worried about the quality of the youth team. I don't think its too bad because they still have a target to reach and if you don't reach that target they will not be happy, despite what team you play.

It is this sort of underlying shallowness to FM that has always undermined it as a playing experience.

A few media 'events' and a glossy veneer of interactivity don't make it any more or less of an interactive spreadsheet.

Sorry to say ..
