How is your team morale?? might explain something.
How many goals were scored from corners and freekicks??? imo the AI is godly on those situations when compared to the human teams no matter what players we have.
How many goals were scored when the super fast striker owned the defenders?? this is the only way the AI is able to score against my team and seems to be a key element to score a lot of goals because every defender in the game just seems to have a slow mind and only chooses to run seconds later.

can you please show a screenshot of players ratings so we can see which players were the worst, was it the defense or the midfield or the GK?

it's also interesting to see that % of passes completed, possesion, crosses,tackles,headers is balanced because that means that your tactics and players arent so crappy because otherwise they would not have won the ball in so many situations.

does anyone have a example like this IRL??? because i can't see any logical explanation to this match result.

btw i also thing it's unrealistic that in 14 shots on target 11 were goals, and i do kind know how you feel, i sold a crappy player 4 years ago and just played against him and in 2 chances he had he scored against akinfeev and from very difficult angles, on another hand my aguero had to shoot 6 times to score against a average keeper that i also sold a few years ago.

Gotta say that whilst there are fatal flaws with the game that I have started a thread about those should not extend to you continously getting your backside kicked by the oposition. You'll find that the problem that most people have with the game is that they create too many chances and their striker take so few of them, not that they find the oposition are creating to many chances against them.

I would say that the problem that you've highlighted is at least 70% your own fault as its clear that you tactics can't be upto much if a side can create 15+ clear cut chances against you.

One suggestion i'll give is to take the formation that you are using and manage a better more highly placed team(prem side) see if the problem still persists if it does then it must be because as I suspect your tactics are faulty.

The main fault with the game as i've said is the lack of clinical finishing from top strikers.

Three points:
1. FM08 is seriously flawed, no arguments.
2. If you want a game in which you don't need to get mired deeply in tactics, then, frankly, don't play FM - it is not designed that way. It has not been that kind of a game for a number of iterations. Would you complain if, in Civ3, you could not win simply by pressing the "next turn" button?
3. If you work with kids, then I hope that you either drop that attitude, or that you get canned - we have enough underqualified rejects going into this field and using their power over kids to take out their bitterness. This is part of the reason why the education system is failing.

Just the sort of pointless remark I highlighted above.

Why not try to make a more constructive comment in response or maybe offer solutions to the problem the guy is having, dispite his initially poor post. :thup:

Fm 08 is flawed, but since when has Johhny Mullins been a right back? He was a centre-back as a kid...

How old are these kids you work with? If they're under 5, them of course they're illitarate. If there over 7, I very much doubt they are.

Again sorry but gotta disagree, if you are playing players out of position of giving them wrong basic instruction then playing a generic 4-4-2 isn't goint to make a shread of deference is about how you play to players strength and weaknesses. However Don't despair, try the same formation that you're using now with a prem team against prem oposition if it still turns out the same then it must be your tactic.

I'm missing the point with the 11-0. These scorelines can happen at random, IRL I seem to remember Rochdale went to Shrewsbury a few years back and won 7-0 completely out of the blue. As far as your awful form goes, I'd put that down to a combination of the full patch match engine being crap (assuming you're running that), Mansfield being crap (bottom of the league in my game) and I'd guess you've got your tactics horribly wrong. If you don't get your tactics right at this level then you will get battered, if you're a top team it shouldn't have a massive effect on results as your players are good enough to compensate, but not in league 2.

If you want to sort things out, I suggest you:

-Install the first beta patch as it has the best match engine

-Look at the skills of your players as a whole and choose a passing style based upon that. If your players aren't technically very good then playing a short passing game isn't going to work. Similarly, if your wingers are crap then playing with width and playing the balls down the flanks isn't going to do you any favours.

-Get some decent players in on loan if you can't afford to buy, and try and snap up a few bargains on frees.

I'm playing as Rochdale at the moment with a basic 4-4-2 most games and whilst I'm not destroying the opposition or have any money to spend I'm doing ok. This game is far from perfect at the moment but it's not as bad as it would seem from your results.
