Again this highlight a fundamental flaw in FM and that is tactics are the be all and end all.

Mark6243 plays a 4-4-2 like his opponent and gets whipped 11-0.

This doesn't happen in real life.

I got beat at home by oldham 9-0 and I'm Leeds and I used a basic 4-4-2 tactic.

Fair enought I might get beat bevause my tactics are not right, same as Mark6243 but not 9-0 and 11-0.

FM08 is simply the worst game that SI have produced including CM4.

I started by asking politely what I was doing wrong, only to be told to check stats, tweak every minute little detail and download alsorts of training schedules and tactics that probably only work with ManUre. It seems to me that *some* on these forums have way too much time on their hands if they take their own advice. And there is nothing more infuriating than text speak. I work with kids in my job. Ok, so you're struggling with the game, that's fine, you take issue with somepeople who have argued with you about this and maybe used txt talk too, this i can accept.

To label everyone who has spent some time playing the game and making their own tactics and enjoys the game as a fanboy chav i can't, i have spent time making my own tactic and like someone else i don't need to change it ever so it took no longer than 30 minutes game time.

People like you are precisely where the problem lies with this forum, this includes the so called text talkers you mentioned and anyone else who makes their point with the need to abuse others so pointlessly.

Surely you could have made your point without doing this?

Instead you've abused everyone who has disagreed with you thus far and i now fully expect to be added to this list.

Oh, and by the way, i love the game, i am definitely not a chav (god forbid lol) and i have a full time job and other hobbies to fit into my time, don't stick a label on people.

I don't care what team you're managing, that's totally off-the-wall and completely unrealistic.
Makes me glad I'm sticking with FM07 for now.

As I've pointed out, the insults came at me as soon as I suggested there may be something very, very wrong with the game when a side loses 11-0 at home to a team in the same division. Rather than 'hey, there's certainly something wrong there' it's been 'ahh, you're 5hit, you suck, you're tactically naive, why play as mansfield when you can play as ManUre, have you checked your right-back's tackle ratio, have you tweaked your centre halves to pressing at a point of exactly 16%, blah blah ****in blah'. Infuriating.

I want to put the game on, not have to examine and tweak detail for 3 hrs before I play a match and not get destroyed as if I'm an under-7's team playing Arsenal.

Is that too much to ask?
