The first bit

After clicking 'Skins'

I had to make this bit manually as it hadnt appeared but im not sure if its correct,do i need the 'left' 'right' folders or can i just put a skin in there without that.The reason i put them there is because in the readme for the skin it said "Mercury is a left sided folder and Mercury/right is a right sided folder.

Also after finishing this how do i make this appear in preferences as it didnt work when i tried it.

Help would be very appreciated.

You don't want the left and right folders, you want to put the folder for the Mercury skin directly inside the skins folder.

So if the folders are named mercury (for the left sided one) and mercury_right (for the right sided one), then you want to put both these folders directly inside the skins folder.

To see how it should be done look at the skins folder that is with the game files (located in \Football Manager 2007\data\skins).
