Afternoon guys

Started life in conference south
Now theres so many tips flying about that is there any good tips for which tactic I should experiment with or follow for a Conference South team with a young side and reserves (Farnborough Town)
Got past the -10 pt administration start we were given
I played wwfans tactic for a while and got a few results
Now going for the Sheff Utd thread of a diamond 442
Any hints lads

Having won the conference north in my first season, I found the key is to pick players that have the best physical stats, to try and out muscle the opposition.

At the start of the season, I played with an U-18 striker in the team cos his physical stats were amazing and he ended up being my top scorer and player of the season. Good luck!

I would say keep it simple, low creative freedom as well as mixed to rarely closing down as the players cant handle 90 minutes of closing down the opposition at that level. Oh and I suggest find a decent target man as well

i won conference north (much harder than south (not bragging)) and i bought loads of players, try and look for a few things, i.e. 12 tackling and then go on the defensive view and pick the best 3/4 on marking/jumping/heading, etc things like that, also Yemi Odubade & Don Hutchinson work great up front with Yemi on often f runs and rwb and Don on rare f runs and mixed rwb, hope this helps

Yep, I found that physical stats aer the way to go. I won the conference north with Hucknall, purely because I bought in some lad who I think should have taken up a career in athletics - he had something like 17 acceleration and pace and just skinned every opposition side in the league.

He worked well with a decent(ish) target man winning some of the headers with good strength and jumping stats.

As a whole team I found a Keegan style - attacking tactic is the best as well. I could never keep clean sheets in the lower leagues, so always try to win by outscoring the opposition.
