Well, while you guys having fun and sucssess with all these tactics, I can't even get a four straight wins.
My team is newcastle, and I have grate players, I have spent a furtune to buy those players, but I still can't get enough winnings.
I put myself as a saudi manager aged 30. I know in real life a saudi manager can't even win a street league , but is that the reason I can't win in this game??
Although I doubt it actually has any bearing. What's importany is what rating you select for yourself at the start of the game, ragardless of nationality.
The only time it might cause problems is when applying for jobs, possibly.
Real life example could be Israeli, Avram Grant at Chelsea. Just because he's of a nationality with a relatively low ranked national team, has little bearing on if he's a good manager or not. He's got the Chelsea job, so must be doing something right eh'
Have a look through the forums here. There's a wealth of tactics and suggestions to try.
Your own nationalty selected can be helpful, for example, your in-game knowledge of the country/region you select to be from, will be enhanced and help you find more players.
I usually play as English (My RL origin), but with Spanish as my second nationality (as in RL too.)
This is helpful to me as in real-life, I now know quite a bit about Spanish football and players, this is reflected in-game with my choice of nationalities.

I don't think your nationality has anything to with with your lack of success, I do find other issues behind it though:
1 - Your team isn't very good, sorry mate but with these guys you aren't going to set the world on fire...
2 - You are playing with Newcastle. I don't know why but for some reason Newcastle, even with great players, never seem to perform consistently. I usually manage to be successful with almost every reasonable team, Blackburn, Everton, Aston Villa and the likes, but with Newcastle...maybe the guys at SI don't like them. Try playing with another team...
3 - Check your tactics and make sure your strikers have at least 16 in their finishing, otherwise you will just be training the other team's GK...
Good luck, hope you make it with your chosen profile and nationality...
I always play as an American manager and my success or lack there of always seems reasonable in comparison to my squad and board expectations and real life American managers have achieved nothing in any European league.
I think nationality has an effect when applying for European international positions. Non EU, or probably non Italian, German, Spanish, English, Dutch, Portuguese, or French nationality will considerably reduce your chances of getting top European international positions.
Added to it, if you happen to be from an Asain, or I assume African country, you will not get mid rung European jobs as well.
As an example, after 5 years of managing Juventus to a few of league and cup wins, I lost out to an American regen manager with every stat in single digit for the US national team job. Only countries I have managed to land a job in have been African countries. I play with my original nationality which is Indian.
