I have a strange complaint. One of my strikers has a scoring record of 21 goals in 22 starts and 2 sub appearances. The other striker has a scoring record of 22 goals in 26 starts and 1 sub appearance. The first one is Owen, the other is Rooney.
For the first 3 months or so it was fine. Both Rooney and Owen had more goals than games played. Then Rooney hit a bad run and didn't score for about 6-10 games. I kept trying to change my tactics until it suited him. Then all of a sudden he hit a boom and hit 7 goals in 4 games. But now Owen has stopped scoring. I'd like advice on exactly how to get both of them to play properly in the same team.
Btw I'd just switched to the 8.01 patch when the problems started. The 8.01 patch clearly changed something with the tactics because my tactics didn't work. So I now play a 4-4-2 formation which looks more like 4-2-2-2 because my wingers are pushed up. I play it down the wings, it's either mixed or short, fast paced and attacking football. Rooney is the only one on a free role and putting him on a free role kicked off Owen's bad form and his brilliant form.
