i am the england manager and wanted to know how i can make players that have English nationality to play for me for example manuel almunia who hasn't played a game for spain and is english

If said player has already 'declared for...', there's nothing you can do about it. When you're the national team manager, news items will pop up on occasion about foreigners gaining second nationality(of the country you're managing). At thet point, you can add them to your national pool and/or national squad.

I have no idea, I heve never dabbled with an editor and probably never will, it spoils my immersion irreveribly.

Dunno, but you'll most likely be able to remove a nationality using FMM.
