Ayup, I am with you. I milk the AI for all I can get. I think it's fair play considering my team is always the only team in my entire FM universe with 6-10 players at any given time on someone's shortlist and getting unsettled and declared for in the media and all that. Besides which, although the AI sometimes seem to be poor, at other times it drives hard bargains and does alright for itself financially.
