I wouldn't say I'm very good at the game (I was relegated to league 1 as Crystal Palace) but managing Stafford Rangers appears quite easy. I won the conference North and then the conference playoffs and am about to embark on league 2. Providing you sign some decent players you'll do well.
I'd recommend Laurel and Hardy.

Haven't in 06, but I tried Stafford in my last game of FM 05, did *****, and got sacked. Ended up taking AFC Bournemouth from League 2 to the Prem.
