Hence the "hardly conclusive proof" bit. Saying that, I'm a little further on in my save, at a team in the Championship (just relegated from the Prem) and UK born players make up 11 of the 16 players in my squad on a normal matchday, and 3 of the 5 foreigners I inherited.

disgraceful

my best Football Manager moment was wining all 15 games of the season to win the Division 1 title with Liverpool and then losing the FA Cup final to Brighton 1-0

that was in 1983.

It's been rubbish ever since
