I had to play my first team squad, as that's all we have at the moment :o

I just had two youngsters, aged 15 and 16, come through the Youth Academy ranks and I've sent out my scouts to look for released players.

Story.

I decided to send a scout out to look at Airdrie United just as the close-season stuff started. After about 2 weeks he's identified a few players as being good for Hinckley.

I asked my AssMan (in French) which ones were realistic targets and he identified four.

Now...Hinckley have no money, but those Airdrie guys are good, signed, as they were, by me after some good scouting by the boys.

Crewe showed an interest in my DL, who was valued at £500k (unbelievable). I tickled them for £750k, they bit, so off he went, leaving us with almost £400k transfer funds.

"Oh yes!" I said. Two of the guys had me as their favourite personnel (s.), certainties. A DL, and AML, a DMC and a D/DM RC to replace my DL.

Wrong.

Only one was interested in coming, the AML for £3k, and I was left without a DL, a huge transfer budget and the Conference to tackle.

This game just gets better :cool:
