Well, what can I say? After putting all the players on a anti-depressants diet just to see them go on to lose the first four games with a goal difference of 0-15, I decided to let the lads hear the truth before every training and match. So I put on the old, classic 'The Presidents Of The United States Of America'-song "We are not going to make it" on the cassette player in the changing room. Something must have gone wrong somewhere down the line, because we made it!!!

It didn't look like we were going to make it when we where rock bottom after ten games, but just as we started winning, everybody else started losing.

My topscorer from last season stayed on a month-to-month contract, so I didn't have to go out and buy a new defender. He played 40 games from start this season and 3 as a substitute, but he still feels he should be a first team regular and won't sign a new contract.

Two midfielders came in, and someone left. The assistant manager disappeared while away on summer holiday, he might have retired or something, but he never told me so I don't know. A new assistant came in, and he was still there when we walked into the Conference.

I think I'm in a good position to avoid the Conference South Playoffs again next season, so that will make it two seasons in a row, for the very first time in my Havant & Waterlooville career.... :thup:

Survival in the first season in the Conference. Ended the season 11 points clear of the relegation zone. Worst moment of the season was losing 0-0 at home to Leigh RMI, who got their first point after losing nearly 30 games in a row. Best moment was getting £250.000 for a left winger who never really played much for me anyway.

Apart from that, a rather uneventful season.
