47 hours, 45 minutes and still counting....looks promising.....

Season 4: 2008/09

Conference South: 4th W 18, D 15, L 9, For: 78, Ag: 45, P 69
FA Cup: First Round
FA Trophy: Second Round

Players in: 4 (Total fee: £80K)
Players out: 8 (Total fee: £0)

This looked like it would be the season where Havant & Waterlooville finally would be crowned the Champions of Conference South. 10 games left and we are
5 points clear at the top and looking unstoppable. But no wins from the last ten games meant I would have to give the playoffs another try. To make things
even better, my two topscorers, with 50 goals between them this season, gets injured during the last game and are unavailable for the playoffs.

Fortunately Eastbourne Boro is not in the playoffs this season. Beat Gravesend 1-0 on aggregate to take us to the final where Newport Co awaits us.
Was one step closer to the Conference this season, lost 1-0 in the final.

The future looks bright, though, as the club has started to work on improving the training facilities. Hopefully that could be enough to get players
of high enough quality to take the club into the Conference....

Looked like it could be one hell of a giant killer in the UEFA Cup 1st round, Oldham beat Sparta Prague 2-0 at home only to lose 3-0 in Prague.

Season 5: 2009/10

Conference South: 4th W 18, D 15, L 9, For: 78, Ag: 45, P 69
FA Cup: First Round
FA Trophy: Third Round

Players in: 1 (Total fee: £1K)
Players out: 0 (Total fee: £0)

Well, it's the standard procedure. I get to the playoffs, and like last year I'm up against Gravesend in the semis. Beat them 6-1 on aggregate this time.
In this year's final Woking was awaiting. Beat them 4-0 at home in the last game in the league, so I was fairly confident going to The Madejski Stadium.
But, alas, my team couldn't cope with the pressure. Lost 5-2.

Not much happening in the transfer market this season. My two topscorers from the last 2-3 seasons retired before this season, so I bought a defender to cover up the hole they left in the attack. My topscorer this season has been unwilling to sign a new contract, unhappy at not being a first team regular after playing only 39 matches from start and 5 as a substitute this season. So I might have to sign another defender, or something, if he leaves.

Did well in the cups again this year. Oh, how I love those cups, the season wouldn't have much to offer without them.

Well, it looks like it will be another season in the Conference South then...

Bad Luck, veggie bloke Next time you make the playoffs tell the boys you'll allow meat to be served at the celebration dinner if they get through.
