Fickleness (I don't know if it's a word but it should be!)

I know many LLaMas have mentioned this at various times and I don't know if it is a problem that only we face but I think I may be managing the team with the most fickle fans in the world: Veras, from Belarus.

Coming into a run of three consecutive home fixtures my form reads DDL. For the first match, my attendance was 226: slightly under my average for the season.

Following a 1-0 victory I embarked on my next match with an attendance of 540: my highest of the season and I scored a 2-0 victory.

In my final of the three games I had an astronomical 1227 fans turn up to my tiny 2000 all-seater stadium!

That is an increase of 1001 fans or over 400% due to just 2 wins! Surely this is not a realistic senario!

How about having an average attendance of 1500 for last season, then the first game of the new season being at home to one of the bigger clubs in the divisino, and getting 230 through the gate?

I've been getting exactly the same weird and frustrating crowds. You'll be pushing for promotion and getting good crowds, then you have a couple of poor results and no one shows up. Very discouraging. :thdn:

Have you checked to see if any of the teams you're against are from the surrounding area? You normally get bigger crowds against rivals/local teams.

Ah, fairweather fans.

When I was at school all the kids supported Liverpool.

When I was at Uni, they all supported Man U.

Now I see a plethora of Chelsea shirts.

Funny, there was never an expansion in the number of Arsenal supporters.

2008/09: 901 10th Conf N
2009/10: 917 15th Conf N
2010/11:1052 8th Conf N
2011/12: 910 2nd Conf N
2012/13: 832 2nd Conf N
2013/14: 714 1st Conf N :eek:
2014/15:1082 5th Conf (only 22 matches into the seasons though)

I find it quite amusing that during our playoff and champion seasons in the Conference North we suffered a decrease in average attendances.

I also find the first matches of a new season to be quite frustrating (as you only get like 10% of your stadium capacity in those).

I've tried, sort of, but there isn't a lot of info out there on Belarusian First league clubs. I can't even find a picture of their logo!
