...do your saves normally last until you give up or get bored?
Generally I can stick it for about 5 years before I get Frank to chose me another, but my current save is 7 seasons old and still going strong, having moved from an Italian club to a Dutch one. I'm actually doing well so I don't want to give it up, but part of me wants to see if I can replicate the feat elsewhere.
A long long time personally. Currently it's 2015 and I'm just getting started, still in my first job. Without wanting to put words into their mouths, most LLaMas tend to stick with their saves for well over 10 years.
I tend to play saves for as long as possible. Generally until the save game won't work or a newer version of FM comes out. This tends to only be around 10 seasons as I'm a fairly slow player.
My first few saves I was still getting used to how the game played I think.
I've settled in now and as a result I'm getting renewed enjoyment from the game.
It's the little things - my facilities have just been improved after a great cup run, and I'm looking forward to seeing my fresh crop of youngsters coming through, and cultivating them for the future - or at least bending them to my will
Only save for FM06 has moved to 22/23 season, enjoying it immensly. Previous versions: I ran 1 on 02 version for close to 40 years. Is my longest llama-type game involved Halifax-Town twice, Doncaster Rovers(my home team) Sc unthorpe, Huddersfield Sheffield Wednesday ManUtd etcetcetc.
Dont know how much longer present save is going to go as I feel i may have limited myself abit too much and should of loaded a few European Premier/2nd Division leagues to add some more depth to game.

Anyone else feel the same?
The game only starts to get interesting after 10 seasons of play...
In non-LLM games I tend to stick around for 4-5 years before I get bored and start a new game. In LLM games I hope to get well above the 10-15 years before I get bored.
So far I'm 3 seasons in my very first _real_ LLM game.
In my last save game I gave up in 2022/23 but not because I got bored of the game. I loaded far too many leagues and it was just running really slow, especially at transfer windows.
