There's a flipside to the possible disadvantages of a feeder team system, of course, in that if you're in charge of one of these feeder teams and you somehow carve out a series of results - you can't deny the approach from your owner club for your players...

I can just picture it.
The Hyde manager approaches the board with a view to becoming a feeder club.
The board come back with a few choices of team to be feeder to: Stalybridge Celtic, Glossop North End, Ashton Utd.

This could actually be beneficial to us LLamas as it may bring an end to rushing through the leagues (well I hear it's possible) if we suddenly come up against a league full of top devision youngsters. I see this won't be the case in England, but mabye elsewhere?

Remember Liverpool and Crewe trying to set up a feeder thingy a couple of years ago, the FA promptly put their foot down and it never happened. However, there still is some sort of informal contacts between the clubs, as Crewe have had a few liverpudlians on loan since then.

Guys - are you sure that feeder clubs are banned in Britain? I suggested that here and the folks at SI seem to think it is perfectly legal.

Is there a languageproblem perhaps? Not being english, maybe I misunderstand the word feeder club?

In my understanding, it is quite legal for English clubs to have feeder clubs abroad.
Not for two teams under FA jurisdiction, however, as this would lead to one becoming a "Nursery Club" and, as such, not entitled to be a full or associate member of the FA.

That all depends on just how clever the AI managers are at picking up players from their feeder clubs. Now lets be honest the AI managers in this game are pretty stupid so I am not convinced.

At the moments I quite simply do not loan players in to the clubs I am running. So if the AI managers teams end up stronger I am all for that.
