Hogie - the guys at SI think they have plenty still to do. I'm not sure they've reached the gimick stage! Properly implemented feeder clubs will add a lot of entertainment for all kinds of player, llamas included...
Scouting is looking impressive and based on what I think your expectations will be, I think you'll all be happy.
There's more to come too. Keep your eyes peeled.

I think the important phrase there is "properly implemented".
It's fair to say that quite a few 'features' don't quite work when they're first added (probably about a 50/50 split). Still, SI do have a tendency to keep hammering away at an idea if they think it's good until it's in better shape. Whether that takes a patch or a whole new version (think Training here), they usually get there in the end.
So, I'll be surprised - albeit pleasantly - if the new features work perfectly from the start. But, I'll be equally surprised if there aren't significant improvements on existing features.

I doubt I'll user feeder clubs, so that's not all that interesting to me, although it will hopefully be a nice new feature. I'm most excited about the scouting as this heavily affects LLM. If this is done properly this will be a milestone in FM development. New player interaction looks interesting too.
One important factor in scouting is that the AI must have to do it as well. If we have to scout a player eg 4 times to reveal all the attributes, and the AI knows it first-hand, we have a huge disadvantage. If this is not done properly I'm afraid SI have put their foot up their arse.
And please, let's get rid of silly bids.

What if you ARE a feeder club though? It would bring a whole new dimension to the game.

As an addendum, scouting has much, much bigger issues than just how soon the scout comes back to you with a player report and how many attributes this report reveals.
Bring back 01/02 scouting. 'Twas perfect. *sob*

That's what I meant. I'll probably not use it, as it would make it too easy I think. I don't loan any players now. If I could get a nice supply of great youngsters every season it would make things a lot easier.

The "feeder club" thing could really muck up the game, if it's implemented to work in Britain...if I'm correct I think it's banned by FA and SFA Rules?
The biggest problem, LLM wise, would be if it was implemented and it could work both ways, ManUre using Eastleigh as a feeder club and sending out their youngsters for loan spells and artificially launching Eastleigh on a meteoric rise through the tables.
I hate the idea.

I think it's more of an "argeement" than a feeder system. Off the top of my head, ManUre are also linked with Lyn Oslo (at least before that John Obi Mikel business), PNE with Holker Old Boys, and Charlton with New Zealand Knights, so I don't think it's all that rare.
If I'm not mistaken it's the more direct feeder clubs like Ajax Cape Town -> Ajax Amsterdam that the FA and SFA have a problem with.
