Because the names you get are stupid. And I may be wrong but don't the nationalities get mixed up at the start, so your conf sth side has players from around the world.

AFAIK, Yes! You can use any team that's in the lowest playable league. It's just that the odd team gets an aura of bad karma surrounding it for one reason or another.

It's frowned upon to play as them but it might be a good place to start if you are new to LLM

Use them as practice before you start a real save

We tend not to use fake players for two reasons:

1) We like to think we strive for realism
2) Manchester United, for example, will still have a fleet-footed Welsh left winger, just going by the name of Hugh Jones instead.

I used fake names once and ended up with 4 players with the same name which made things tricky! Will never do it again, no point really as long as you are diciplined and clear your brain with each save.

As Ryn has said, feel free to 'cut your teeth' with Weymouth but it is unlikley tha people will wish to read an update thread based on them. Once you are comfortable with the ways of the LLaMa then start a career save and let us know. (After 3 seasons of xure)

I had a Welsh PE teacher who went by the same name except that he spelt it Huw. I also had a DT teacher (at the same school) who did spell it like that. He wasn't Welsh though.*

The reason is known as the "floodgate scenario".

Witness the number of guys, non LLaMas, who post in here asking about players, tactics, "best team", etc., who obviously haven't read the Forum Header.

If you use any names at all then those guys come in, see Michal's "Hugh Jones", and instantly name their complete squad of 87 players because they think it's okay.

The floodgate's opened.

It's tried and tested, the best option is a complete ban.
