Dorchester - Season 6

Board Expectations - Mid-Table
My Expectations - Top 10 / Playoffs

An encouraging season saw me improve on last year. If it had not been for taking only 2 points in my last 6 games I would have sneaked into the playoffs!

I also made it to the 4th Round of the FA Cup and drew Chelsea! Got hammered 5-0 put was pleased with the effort especially as we didnt concede any in the second half! So in all I was pleased with my top 10 finish and with an offer of 250k coming in from Norwich for my right winger, I will hopefully have some money to spend for the 1st time ever! :eek:

Quick update

Had £150k to spend in the summer which means I have a budget for the first time ever! This is mainly due to my strict wage structure and FA Cup draw against Chelsea last season.

Despite having money at my disposal, I brought in 5 players on a free including 2 players with previous Champ League and World Cup experience. They are both in their last season but are contributing well.

Im 14 games in and we are currently lying 7th, one point off the playoffs.

Also turned down two job offers from Southend and MK Dons. I have plenty of unfinished business with Dorchy before I consider a career change!

My Expectations - Promotion

This game drives me mad!! I will explain....

A few more freebies came in. I looked at my squad before the season started and had very high hopes. This was by far my strongest group of players to date. Had a good start and was sitting pretty in 4th by Xmas, 4pts off top and 9 points from outside the playoffs.

The last game of the season came around and I was 5th and 1 point inside of the playoffs. I had Weston S-M in the last game who were already relegated. 2 mins in and my keeper is sent off! I lose 3-0 and finish the season 7th. I kicked my PC and sulked for 1/2 an hour replaying the image of my keeper making the long walk to the dugout.

On a brighter note, I won my first bit of silverware by clinching a penalty shootout victory over Carlise in the FA Trophy. At least that was something to smile about.

A big sigh then onto pre-season work in Season 8.
