Appologies for the long delay in a new update but I have been in shock.

After 20 seasons with Dorchester, I finished a dissapointing 16th in the Premier League and was knocked out of the UEFA Cup in round 1 to Betis. Brush myself off and look to improve next season.

Then the bombshell.................I get the sack!!

After 20 long years, a rise from the conference South to Europe in the Prem, over 1000 games, 3 league titles and an FA Trophy they kick me out due to 1 poor season. I wouldnt mind but the board only expected me to fight relegation which I did.

Im gutted, am thinking of starting a fresh save now I have had a couple of weeks rest. Might go to Brazil.

The expectations are often shown too low from what they actually are... I have had many times that my board expected only to fight relegation, but were dissapointed when I failed to gain promotion on the last matchday

Ouch.

Reminds me of my Billericay sacking from 01/02 in some ways. Took them all the way to the Premier, with a high finish of 7th. New chairman comes in and sacks me the following season for being 12th.

I presume the old chairman must have died because he was 73 when he was replaced. We had a great relationship, I even survived an ultimatum I gave him regarding the size of the ground, and the ensuing fan backlash got a small increase as well!

More to add...

I carried on the game and still enjoyed it. After a small stint at Bedford, I went back to Billericay again and got sacked again. Then guided Newport to two promotions, move to Stoke in the Premier and my save died straight after.

Was the first time I had ever reached the 2030s.
