When I got FM2005 I discovered the joys(?) of LLM. I started with Vauxhall and ended with West Brom Albion in the Premiership making Europe for the first time. I stopped posting updates when I got torched for writing novels. Then I got FM2006. I don't know aboput you, but I find it more challenging. But having learned my lesson, I'll model my posts after Nobby. (Now theres a straight line for all you comedians)

I sell off my GK for 14,000 to give me some transfer cash and then can't get anyone to come here except on a free. Despite being tipped for relegation, I move to the top half and flirt with promoion all season. I pull 16 pts out of my last 10 matches to hold onto 5th place and make the playoffs. Beat Eastbourne Boro 3:1 agg for the privilege of losing 1:3 to Histon in the final to keep me in the ECS another year. Oh the Inhumanity of it all!!!! Chelsea sweep every frickin thing!!!!

Tipped for mid table obscurity, we start the season on an 18 game unbeaten streak and finish again in 5th place. After beating Bath 2:1agg we get to face Canvey Island for a place in Conf Nat. My 3000 signing at AR/ST slots home the game winner in the 47th minute and we hold on for promotion. The fans (all 3000) in the Emirates Stadium sign my name for joy.

Told we would struggle mightily against the drop, the boys only lose once the last 15 games and again we again confound the critics. My GK demands all off season to be transfer listed, so I go out and get two youngsters who perform well. No one wants old sourpuss despite lower my fee demands. Don't you hate players who think they are better than they really are????
