Flirted with hardware. Came up empty handed all around. Started the first half of the season in 4th place. Briefly got to the top around the new year. Hit a bad spell in January (aquaplaning or did we just suck? ) that pushed us back to 4th place. Climbed back to second but never closed within 10 points of Motherwell. Cups sucked arse, but the allure (?) :eek: on penalties. Lost 5-2 to Aberdeen in the quarterfinals of the Scots League Cup. Lost 2-1 to Hearts in the Scottish Cup.

Stoke City's job opened and I applied for it (My favored Club) But they chose some other loser. :kris102:

Lots of other offers, (Mostly 3rd division German) but I turned them all down to the delight of the Board.

Tried a new formation with only 1 ST and more in the MF and it worked!!!!! Shocked the world with a 2-1 win over the Germans and followed that up with a 2-0 win vs the Kangaroos. (Sorry Wewak ). Rested my top MC and ST and it showed vs Columbia losing 3-1 but we were still through to the 2d round as winners of the Group (along with Germany)

Drew Argentina in the second round. Held my own but an 88th minute goal sent the Scots home. The Scottish FA were happy with the results though. (How could they not be??? :cool

I'm 3 points out of first as we move into January AND MY SAVE FILE GETS CORRUPTED!!!!!!!!! I could blame one of my kids, but I'll bite my tongue and just start over. Maybe I'll use a smaller set of leagues next time.
