I am not stupid enough to post on here asking who to sign or what tactics to use as that would be pointless, i'm the onlyone playing my save so it will be a unique game with other people tips based on their own saves of little worth to me.
Fair enough, Caley. Everyone has their own slight variation of the definition of "tipping", just like everyone has their own slight variation in the way they play. Maybe my sleep-deprived body just saw the term "constructive comments" and jumped to a conclusion.

For mine (and I still feel like I'm skating very close to the tipping iceberg here), I'd think that the worth of fiddling with the training regime would change from person to person (through your own ability) and save to save (through the players in your squad, what league you're in, etc. etc.). So ultimately it's up to you to investigate if it's worth it to you.

I didn't mean to be condecending in any way.

thats cool Victa thats all i was looking for a yay or nay as to if it's worth having a mess with the training im not interested in other peoples tactics or anything like that cause i like to get teams relegated with my own 'super' tactics

That's alright, we're both relative newbies to LLM so I guess we both know well the need to avoid being branded an eejit (like those who can't read a forum header), and the subsequent flaming. No need to explain yourself. Best of luck with your training endeavours.

I am a harsh taskmaster in-game. This, coupled with my pathological tendency to sign any youngster my scouts may recommend, means that the 20-odd injuries in my squad at any one time tend to be spread around a bit. Mark my words, though... I don't recommend it.

Training is the sort of thing that requires a steady hand and careful balance, otherwise things will go pear-shaped. Training is, in fact, a game of JENGA. While drunk. Something you new experiment will prepare you for... not a bit!

I've always arranged my own training schedules in CM/FM* and found them to be far more effective than the default settings. I think it might have something to do with my sports science background and interest in this area.

*The one exception was when Ray Houghton was brought in (CM4 onwards until FM) and you had to assign tasks to every single session and it became baffling.

That is exactly my experience as well.

When the training was more complex I actually felt that what I did had an effect on the game and I had schedules coming out of my ears. At one stage I had schedules (albiet very similar) for every member of my squad.(That didn't last more than a month Now that the training has been completely dumbed down I went into it once set up a few schedules for different types of players and have not really touched it since. Personally I think it is a shame that they dumbed it down.
