It made perfect sense as I was typing it...and that specific part of my post still makes sense... :p
Reading the post over again, I can see that it probably wasn't the smartest thing I've said tonight... |

I just gave it another thought, and boys, we're doing the veggie injustice.
After all, Israel or Kazakhstan (and other Asian countries) could have won the Euro Championships, so saying that it was the European countries that dominated, is absolutely okay.

I'm still putting a couple of quid on Spain, though (again). One day they'll come good...
| Brazil can be beaten.

This has always been a problem with the CM/FM series. England is crap in real life, for all the hype and expectations. It's arguably the most underachieving international side in Europe. And the Premier League simply does not match up with Serie A and the Spanish Primera when it comes to European competition. But somehow England dominates in FM, and I see one or two Premier League clubs in every semifinal of the Champions League.

| Sorry Greg, but unless I imagined Arsenal getting through to the European Cup Final, beating a Serie A side and 2 Primera Liga teams en route, I'm going to have to cough loudly and obnoxiously over that statement.
Calling English teams 'underachievers' implies they should really be doing better. Well, on the evidence of this and last season, they are.

| Yes, and that's the predictable response. But one trip to the final does not mean that an EPL club should be in every semifinal for 20 years in the game. But those are the results that I get.
According to this kind of logic, Greece should win the European Championship routinely in our saved games. Quote: |

| When I said "underachieving," I was specifically referencing the English national team. And there can be absolutely NO argument that England is a massive underachiever in international football.
As for the EPL clubs, it's the same as my previous response. Two seasons do not constitute a trend across 10, 15 or 20 years, which is what I see in the game.
