Do you smell that, Frank?

I recognise that smell, that's right, it's the smell of new LLM blood.

My instincts are telling me we need to do as the petshop boys once did and go west and see if we have still got it around those parts.

So that's why I am back. While fighting bloody battles in columbia with Frank, I realised it's time I came home.

I will be honest with you now. I have never had the same feeling of CM since 01/02. That in my eyes was the best that it has ever been. I tried my best with the other games, but they weren't the same. To me they didn't feel like my companion, my girlfriend, my wife like CM 01/02 did.

CM4, CM3/04, FM2005 didn't keep me up at night buzzing with excitement and butterflies in my stomach. No this girl was not as caring as my last love, CM01/02.

Oh CM01/02 how I will never forget you and the way you made me smile. Especially when you let me reach 2047 and get Southend up to the Premiership. I love you CM01/02, but you have been tarnished now. Nothing has beaten you yet, but I feel there is more out there. I cannot play you again, however I will never forget you. Even the time when you blew up in my CDROM drive and I had to buy you again.

So alas my love, I say for the last time, goodbye. I love you, but I have moved on now. There is a new girl in my life. She is called FM2006. I don't know where we stand now. We have been on and off with eachother since last year, but I really feel commited now to giving her that one more chance to make me try and feel like I used to feel for you.

She has given me a Harrogate team and I will see where I go from here.

Right, so world cup fever has hit me, it took its time but it's here for me now. Usually what happens when I get a football fever is a sudden urge to play extensive hours of FM. This is what will be happening as of now.

I know there will be a lot of new faces around here, especially as I wasnt around for the influx when the game was released (Apologies my fellow mods).

I am born and bred LLM and I would take a bullet for LLM. I dispise all things evil, including editors and Graeme Kelly.

I am usually a big softie when it comes to those who break the rules, but if I have just lost 1-0 with 498430986 shots on target and 74% possesion then beware of the wrath of Craig.

So I have heard snippets of the problems with this FM. I have not taken any of them on board as my longest save so far has lasted about 3 months.

So anyway, welcome me back, three cheers and all that!

It was about time you returned. Ian and Pete are both out injured, Pete has RSI and Ian seems to have a burnout.
