We get a stadium expansion of 543 seats during the summer which takes away half of our budget, but despite that the board gives me £1m to spend on new players. Daft, really, considering nobody is willing to move to us, bar two young players we pick up on a free transfer (a ST and an AM RC). We release 5 players and sell D RC for £16k to Gretna.
It seems the squad didn't need many changes anyway, as we end the year top with 50 points from 20 games, and 9 points clear of second placed Clyde (thanks to a 95th minute winner away to them on Boxing Day). We show our resilience away to local rivals Stirling as we go 4-0 down after only 40 minutes only to run out 6-4 winners. In the end we run away with the league and finish 15 points ahead of Clyde, breaking all sorts of records on the way. We get the all time most assists, MoM awards and highest average rating, all from our AM L. He also wins the player of the year, which notifies top SPL clubs. The team also beat the most goals scored award and games won in a row.
On the cup front we, again, get to the challenge cup final only to suffer another defeat, this time by Airdrie. We do manage to beat SPL opposition for the first time though as we gain a victory away to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup.
Towards the end of the season I got offered a job by League Two's Rochdale, and it took me a while to decline, which made me think about leaving the Shire. It's definitely something I'll consider over the summer.

Got offered the AFC Wimbledon job, turned it down and decided to plough on and get into the SPL. Over the summer our facilities were upgraded to top facilities plus youth academy. 7 players brought in (£250k) and 5 sold (£230k). Tight league, only 15 points seperate top from bottom at new year and I was 7th, 5 pts from bottom.Didn't draw too many - most of the time we managed to snatch defeat instead. Highlight of the season, besides avoiding relegation (by 10 points - St. Johnstone were bottom, last season relegated from SPL and this from D1) was beating Hearts in the Scottish Cup on the way to being knocked out by... Hibs (eventual winners), in the semis.
Scottish Cup: 0-1 Hibs (SPL) (N) - Semi Final Challenge Cup: 1-2 St. Mirren (D1) (A) - 2nd Round League Cup: 0-3 Kilmarnock (SPL) (H) - 3rd Round
Strange happenings include Rangers losing to Hamilton (D2) in the League Cup and then Highland league Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup, my goalie contracting arthritis and last but not least... England winning Euro 2012.
Four and a half months between updates   Are you playing this real time or did you walk from East Sterling to AFC Wimbledon to check out the job?
it's unacceptable to have so many updates and have no mention of Partick Thistle in here
btw, about 5 years ago I got to the UEFA Cup Final with East Stirling, and lost 1-0 to Anderlecht, plus I won an award on CMStories (as it was then) for the tale, but then I retired, but now I'm back.. in your thread.

Haha, sorry about that but I decided to try out some LL management in other countries, but all roads led back here.
