Petpiranha,
I'm very jealous of a star player turning down Celtic to stay with the club. I have had a good core of half a dozen lads stay with Elgin 'til Judgement Day, but the rest of the team is a bit more mercenary - especially once I hit the SPL.
As for your facilities, I'm guessing it would vary from club to club. My board waited until I was solidly in the black. The upgrade from "fairly basic" to "average" cost about £50k, I think. And "average" to "top facilities plus youth" cost about £500k. I'm also guessing the board AI will want to make sure you have adequate income to cover the increased "ground matienance" from better facilities.
You should start an update for your Abaroth save! Have a look over your past Landmarks & Domestic Leagues to give you the necessary info and to jog your memory.

Oh, and I also had a Swedish phase with Elgin City. In 14/15, I was starting a Swedish AM RL, DM/M RC & a great GK.
All whine about the lack of silverware though. :kris102:

Hmm. Not having played a Scottish game since converting to LLaMa-ism, I suppose it's possible that with a heap of cash in the bank, he was able to afford a tour of Sweden.
I'll let those with more experience of life 'Up North' tell me how unlikely that is.

I'm not very familiar with real life Scottish teams, but I took a gander at the in-game teams in 2016. 2nd Div is 80% Scottish, with the vast majority of non-Scots being English, N. Irish, or Irish. A couple of the bigger Div 2 sides had a couple continental folks each, that's all. Div 1 was about 50-60% Scots with more continental folks while the Premierleague was very mixed - anywhere from Rangers (!) having 70% Scots to Dundee Utd having about 10% Scots. Must be interesting for Dundee Utd when trying to select a European squad.
It's possible he got some of them as castoffs from larger teams - I know that's how I got my first non-Scots & Swedes in particular.
Although honestly sounds like he pre-emptively scouted Sweden. Petpiranha, go check out the LLaMa rules at the top of the forum.

I had a quick look through the Scottish leagues in my game, too.
Division 2 has only 1 player not from the UK & Ireland, a Dutchie taken from St Johnstone.
Division 1 has more, but they're clumped in the bigger clubs in the league: Aberdeen, Hearts & Motherwell, which seems about right to me.
