I do the same. I usually use Scottish as my nationality in-game since I'm part Scottish on my mother's side. When has a UK club ever been managed by a Yanklander anyway?

I doubt you'll find anyone calling themselves a Nationalist who could be described as a Citizen of the World.
On the other hand, however, being patriotic doesn't necesarily mean you're not a Citizen of the World.

In small doses I think nationalism can be good, but in big doses it's terrible as we saw from WWII and are seeing in the US now, and surely countless others. I believe in a world without borders and nations. Utopia, sure, but why not aim for utopia? If it ever happans it won't be in my lifetime though. Sort of a worldwide federation I guess, with countless autonomous regions.
As to the question: I always play as Norwegian. It will put off job offers for a few years, and feels the most realistic.

I stick with what I am, whether managing in England or Estonia.
It would be nice if you could add your own spoken languages at the start of the game though. It might make you more attractive for the Spanish National job, for example, if you could input that you were a fluent Spanish speaking Englishman with Spanish second nationality on your mother's side.

Right there with you Kallinan. Being as my wife is from England and I lived a good few of my formative years there I almost always use English. Until 2008 at least, then maybe I'll change my mind.

Man, you got me all choked up here...where's my guitar, I feel a round of Kumbayah coming on
Nationalism doesn't need to get to the point of xenophobia, but there is certainly nothing wrong with loving your country and believing that its institutions are worth protecting and preserving from foreign/outside influences that don't mesh with your worldview.
