Alright then.....

Haven't played this game for several, several months and a serious bout of the flu has rendered me incapable of going to work this past week. (boo-hoo).

Normal data base.
Attribute masking ON.
Leagues loaded: All Poofland, Jockland, Spain & Italy.

I knocked on Frank's barn door and asked for a club and he responded with..."Try Nuneaton" (and in true LLaMa style retorted). "Don't let the door hit you on the way out". Aah Frank, you old smoothy.


04/05 Nuneaton - Conference North

Usual chairman's greeting blah blah blah...
Expect mid table finish and I'll give you 20K transfer budget.

...Mid table my arse, I'm not hear for a hair cut.
6 players in for a total of 17K.
2 out for free.
5 new coach's (all by placing job adds).
2 new scouts (again, adds).
Physio (dispite job add no-one wanted to respond).

Season started well and went along pretty well. Never dropped out of the top 3 and finished the season 2nd.

FA Trophy: Fifth Rnd Replay defeat, Weymouth 1-0

Win Conference N/S Final againts St.Albans 2-0.

Note: Job offer from Rushden & Diamonds (L2/18th), told them to **** off.

05/06 Nuneaton - Conference National

Avoid relegation, here's 35K, blah blah blah...

I agreed with the chairman, tricky 2nd season was on the cards and i sent the scouts out to find a few loans that could plug the holes.

7 players in for a total of 4K (watching the purse strings)
4 players out for 7K
3 loans in
2 new coach's (add)
1 new scout (add)
physio (still no responce)

SEson started OK with 5 draws and we were mid table. We managed to string 4 wins in a row and found ourselves 6th at Christmas. DMC called up to the Montserrat squad. Luck wasd on our side as we scraped into the playoffs despite loosing the final game of the season.

Note: Total fluke to gain promotion. Star striker loanee breaks leg in first half of final and with injuries to every other striker in my squad i was forced to play 17 yr old. The boy dun good. Second half hat trick seals the promotion.

06/07 Nuneaton League 2

Fight bravely, here's 100K, blah blah blah...

Couldn't agree more. The promotion from a fluke didnt fill me with confidence. We were stuffed. I tried to sign nearly every player the scouts found. One player however forced my hand. Upon signing him (I'll name hime if i get the OK from Ian), he only appeared in the tactics screen, never in the players sreen or the training screen. Suffice to say i was pretty ****ed off at this development. I'd spent 20K on him and i no controll of him. I thought, "Jack this for a laugh", and went looking for a job in Italy.

I continued with Nuneaton for a while longer.
League Cup defeat to Bradford 3-0.
I ordered a pizza and pressed continue.
Fate would have it that Pizzighettone (Italian Serie C2/A) would offer me a job. I admit that i have NO knowledge of the Italian lower leagues and if i've jumped to high i'm sorry.

Chairman's message...mid table blah blah, we are skint blah blah. Sorry no money for transfers.

By far the most enjoyable season ever in my FM life. Pizzighettone (Pizza) have 17 coaches and 7 scouts!!! All bar 3 coaches are any good and 1 scout is OK, but my god, no wonder you're in fiancial trouble. During the season i had a total of 5 cash injection equaling 335K.

P34 W10 D19 L5 F26 A18 Pts54 Position 8th.

As you can see we did OK (mid table) but couldn't score in a brothel. The club is currently 476,957K in the red and i'm loving it.

Bring on 07/08...

Aha, this sounds like the old FM2005 idiosyncracy that gave players the position of "M" but rendered them invisible on your screens.
